Bopp Tape

Bopp Tape
-
Backing: Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene (BOPP)
-
The Process: Polypropylene film is stretched in two directions (longitudinal and transverse).
-
The Result: This “biaxial” stretching significantly increases the film’s tensile strength, clarity, and stiffness, making it far superior to standard plastic films.
-
-
Adhesive: Pressure Sensitive Adhesive (PSA)
-
Acrylic Adhesive: Most common for its excellent UV resistance and ability to withstand a wide range of temperatures. It doesn’t yellow over time.
-
Hot Melt: Known for high “quick-stick” properties, making it ideal for high-speed automated machine sealing.

Advantages :
1. High Tensile Strength & DurabilityThe biaxial orientation makes the tape extremely tough. It can withstand high pressure and tension during shipping without snapping, ensuring the integrity of the carton remains intact.
2. Temperature & UV Resistance
BOPP tape maintains its bond in various environments. Whether your packages are stored in a cold warehouse or transported in a hot shipping container, the adhesive won’t fail or become brittle.
3. Excellent “Quick-Stick” Adhesion
It provides an immediate bond to multiple surfaces, especially fibrous corrugated cardboard. This reduces the amount of tape needed per box and speeds up the packing process.
4. Cost-Effectiveness
Because the film is strong and the adhesive is efficient, you can use thinner rolls (lower microns) for heavy-duty tasks compared to other types of tape, saving significantly on bulk material costs.
5. Clarity and Aesthetics
The film offers high transparency. This is vital when the tape is applied over barcodes, labels, or branding, as it allows for easy scanning and readability without distortion.
